Certifications: CrossFit Level 1, Powerlifting

I’ve played competitive sports all my life; rugby union, rugby league, soccer, touch rugby and a spot of cricket. Playing top level rugby at school and then in civvy and army life, has made me a very competitive person. Along with my jobs (Military, LE, Military contractor) and with my pass-time (hunting) I know just how important it is to be not only fit but to be fit, strong and healthy. I never really enjoyed just going to the gym and pumping iron. I found I enjoyed doing the circuit/boot camp style training. This just made more sense and so much more practical to real life. But it still got boring and stale after time. Wasn’t till about 2007 (while working in Iraq), that I tried CrossFit...Angie I think. All I know there was a lot of pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups and air squats. Took me FOREVER! So over the next 4 years I would do CrossFit style WOD’s. But form, skill and technique were lacking. But I stuck with drinking the kool aid. Then with a push from my wife I did my level 1. I have a passion for training and making myself better every day. With over 10 years of instructing in firearms, defensive tactics and self-defense, I have a passion in helping and training others who strive to be better then yesterday. As well I want to be a good role model for my daughter. If you work hard at something you will be rewarded. But nothing comes easy.
